Lets get Physical...

As I am sure many of you have noticed, the world has recently had a revelation regarding health and fitness.
Suddenly, thanks to the internet, it is so much easier to see how we should be treating our bodies and what we should be putting in them. We are now focused on wellness as an important part of our lives and understand the effects our health can have on our happiness and quality of life. On top of that a thanks to the likes of Kayla Itsines and even our Olympic athletes such as Jessica Ennis-Hill girl the strong girl physique seems to have trumped the skinny girl physique.
Whilst I pride myself on a fairly average level of fitness, after a period of low energy and just generally feeling sorry for myself, I recently undertook a $35 - 2 week unlimited class pass to Yoga and Spin at a studio in River Oaks - Houston called Revolution Studio to try and get those endorphin's running through my body and get back on that wellness track - although nervous initially I was bouncing after my first class - to say I loved it would be an understatement!
The Yoga:

I should admit straight out that this is sadly not me and I am, I fear sadly a long way off from this! I nervously attended my first Yoga class and found it harder than I thought I would. Fusion Yoga is a combination of Yoga and Pilates and is at a controlled temperature of 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The sweat was bashing and I was stiff for days after - in a good way! I did one further class and although I really enjoyed it - I think I will try a few online classes to try and master the basics (as in the difference between a downward dog and an extended puppy) before I return - I will be returning though!
Next up the Spin...

Now I have done a few spin classes in the past and always love them but these were hands down some of the best so far. In pitch black with a few lights and some scented candles we went for it - it was FANTASTIC!! I have done 5 different classes with all different teachers and I have loved every single one. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, shy or out there, Super fit or so not these classes will suit you all and I challenge anyone who says they don't come out feeling invigorated!
The studio is small but perfectly formed - bit like how I hope my bottom will be in a few weeks! There are lockers for your bits and lovely bathrooms equipped with everything you might need. The staff are all super nice and you are greeted with free towels, water and an ice cold Eucalyptus towel after your classes. Shoes are $2 to rent or you can bring your own. It isn't by my accounts cheap although it is miles cheaper than Soul Cycle and I think it probably measures up to most city centre classes of these sorts.
I have treated myself to 10 classes for my wedding anniversary Year 1 = paper it makes sense! $200 for yoga or Spin. I am going to do one or so a week till Christmas to keep my exercise goals on track!
